Dr Gordon Slater is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in conditions of the Foot and Ankle with the addition of vast experience in Orthopaedic Trauma. With the aim of providing high level patient care Dr Slater performs Minimally Invasive Foot Surgery which preserves the soft tissue attachment to bones to increase rate of healing and decrease pain and discomfort post operatively. An added benefit of this keyhole surgery is that the lack of incision results in reduced healing time and minimal scarring.
To date Dr Gordon Slater has published numerous clinical letters in his sub-specialty areas as well as Chapter’s in the Textbook of Ankle Arthroscopy and Arthritis Foot & Ankle Clinics of North America and has received Publication Honours in The Marquis Who’s Who in “Medicine and Healthcare” and “Science and Engineering” from 2004-2008. He has also been an Associate Editor of the Foot and Ankle International Journal. More recently he has spent further time at the hospital of special surgery in New York to update his knowledge in leading technology. He also continues further research and has pending articles on minimally invasive reconstruction surgery.
